As a family-run property company in its second generation, we stand for continuity, trust and genuine expertise. What sets us apart is decades of experience: for more than 45 years we have been successfully letting residential property. On top of that we have more than 25 years of well-founded expertise in short-term lettings to contractors and fitters. With us, tradition meets modern service.

How it all began

It all began in the 1980s, next door to a clothing alterations shop. With hard work, courage and the first property purchase, our father, Horst Görtzen, laid the foundation for what drives us today. He not only built up a solid long-term portfolio, but from the 2000s onwards also specialised successfully in furnished lettings in central Holstein.

His most important investment, however, was to let us share his passion right from the start. We practically grew up on our father’s building sites. We learned the trade, came to understand the market and to value being close to the customer.

In 2022 Tristan O’Brien took over the helm, and since 2024 the two brothers have led the company together. We are carrying our father’s life’s work into the future with proud tradition and fresh ideas. Today, O’Brien by Görtzen still stands for exactly the values that everything began with: honest work, short lines of communication and a personal relationship with every single customer.

Our mission

Our aim is to be the first and most reliable point of contact for our customers in the Rendsburg, Neumünster and Kiel area.

For more than 25 years we have made sure, in short-term letting, that project managers, employers and contractors find suitable accommodation quickly, cost-effectively and completely stress-free. Because we act directly and without any intermediary landlord, we guarantee full transparency with no hidden costs – on one simple principle: move in and feel at home!

We have been living up to these same high standards for more than 45 years in our residential letting business.

Here our priority has always been to offer our tenants more than just living space – namely a real, secure home where they feel completely comfortable and can grow over the long term. At O’Brien by Görtzen we combine flexibility for a limited period with decades of stability for the future.
